Clinton withheld documents in this investigation as he did in the other Starr investigations, such as Whitewater, Rose Law Firm, Castle Grande, etc.
Oh, right. Reagan/Bush were just totally forthcoming on the document front, as on every other front in Iran/Contra. Nixon was totally forthcoming about what was in the tapes, with his artfully edited transcripts. Remember Ed Meese in one room, "investigating", while Ollie North was in the next room, shredding? Ollie: "He had his job, I had mine".
And remember, Starr hasn't reported anything about all the other stuff, which has even less to do with being President than bimbogate. Not that that will keep anyone here from dredging up ad nauseum every old rumor and innuendo that the Scaife crowd has put forth in the last six years . Who knows, maybe the House will actually come up with something the grand inquisitor Starr missed. Starr only had 4+ years. |
