Bh6 seems to be a good ticket for a KOT operation then, right? Lots of boot sequence choices. I am going to continue my SCSI host adapter studies while i re-evaluate the SCSI/IDE combo, it still intrigues me so I'll see if my enthusiasm wanes.

Yes BH6 looks like it should work. Mobo bios options seem to evolve with each revision. Most new mobo bioses have boot sequence options.

I like the feeling of independence I get with mobo bios boot selections.

You don't lose anything by setting up a KOT drive IMO. You can always reformat the drive and use it for something else. A pair of IDE drives does not cost that much. Adding SCSI later on is not difficult as long as you reserve a PCI slot.

Did you ever define your needs for us? ie home use, daytrading machine, SI posting, email and a checking account? What applications do you use?
