Bob, I wonder why so many different clock frequencies scrunched up against each other by AMD, right up against 400 MHz?

INTEL PII: 233MHz, 266MHz, 300MHz, 333MHz, 350MHz, 400MHz and 450MHz

AMD K6-2: 266MHz, 300MHz, 333MHz, 350MHz, 366MHz, 380MHz and 400MHz

I'd bet AMD would trade the oddball 366 and 380 MHz's, and someone's left xxx for a 450. Oddball? Yes, the overwhelming market leader sets the basic product spec's, like clock frequency. Still, AMD has come a good ways at this point in the speed race. What happened to the days when speed didn't matter that much?
