But he did say that CPQ would benefit from the Asian crisis and when Joe Kernan said that INTC and AMD will have and did have better than expected earnings he said something to the effect that like INTC the second half of the year is CPQ's best 2 quarters also. That, to me is about as close as he could get to saying "upside surprise." He said the DEC deal is integrating fine, that they are on schedule, and that inventory is at all time low. I thought he was excellent! Sure, you had to read between the lines a little, but that is the way he is. Furthermore, we are only 3 days from earnings. Very positive, imho. I LIKED IT! El
