September 16, 1998 With liberals of every stripe going around the country quoting Scripture and invoking heaven's authority in defense of Bill Clinton I think it is a fair question. A few months ago I was interviewed by German Public Television. During the interview I was asked, "Can a Christian be a liberal?" My response to the reporter was, "A Christian can commit most any sin, even the sin of liberalism." That being said I present some "policy positions" from God's authorized "policy manual." Judge for yourself how they square with modern day liberalism. God is pro-life. He finds homosexuality and lesbianism abominable. He believes only moral and ethical people qualify for positions of leadership. He believes children should be allowed to vocally express their faith (even in school). He believes people have the right to be armed. He favors capital punishment for first degree murderers. He holds governments accountable to His laws, which He claims are superior. He requires men to work or not eat. He established male/female roles. He teaches parents to spank their children. He warns against global government. He is intolerant of people striking for better pay. He established nationalism. He teaches that the church and family are equal in authority to civil government. He teaches that men are to be the primary breadwinners and protectors of their families. He teaches that mankind is created and not evolved. He declares believers in Him are free. He demands people be accountable for their actions and attitudes. He demands chastity before marriage and fidelity in marriage. He demands honesty in public and private life. I personally believe all the heavenly invocation we hear from liberals today is a bunch of malarkey. They are like the prophets of Baal on Mt. Carmel who tried to call down fire from heaven in order to save a vestige of their own antiquated fallacies. So, too, today. Liberals have set up altars of secularism all over the nation. Bill Clinton is their high priest. If he goes down so does much of this antiquated, fallacious liberal agenda. That's what this is all about. Saving their agenda. Sadly, many have prostituted their own personal integrity in the process.
