Re: "AMD losing 30% in a couple of days has frazzled you nerves."

One nice thing about just getting out of school is that I have very little money in the market now--I sold gradually out over the last three years to pay the bills. So don't have much money in AMD at all at this point. The last few days has cost me a few hundred bucks--nothing more than a couple weekends out on the town.

How much has it cost you?

I dare say since I am net profitable on my one time AMD investment from way back in '97, I've done much better in AMD than you have, given what I know of your basis.

Not to mention how long Intel and the rest of the market you must be. Ouch, that must hurt.

Anyway, I've taken advantage of the market to pick up some bargains in the last couple days, as I'm sure you have. Since we're both long term style investors, this little overcorrection should be good for us. Nevertheless, it always annoys me to look at paper losses when I could be looking at paper profits.
