Visual example of a slow grinding 1-year Bear impact:

exchange2000.com

This was the slow death of Adaptec, a company that "had" over 50 quarters of growth.

Within a year, it got cut in half, then in half, then in half in a bull market . I have this stock in my gut (actually made out even or better on it) when I think of what can happen in an overall bear . I'm thinking there's a lot of bulls out there now who lived through the last year with at least one of these in their portfolio. I don't know how one can feel like still buying the dip! Boy does this explain the dichotomy with the holder's feelings of the "wealth creator" stocks ( eg Dell). I'm sure they feel it can never happen. No wonder "they" try to keep the leaders alive for hope.

regards,
Tom
