World Bank and IDB to officially support Brazil Oct/09/98 at 11h00 am ET São Paulo, 9 - The World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) were expected to release this morning a joint communiqué making official their intention to participate in the rescue financial program intended to help Brazil overcome the international economic crisis. Diplomatic sources informed that the two institutions were to stress in the communiqué that the agreement will be settled in order to support the country's stability in areas such as financing, social protection, welfare, public management and employment.
