Just a bit of unsolicited helpr for you on that PT2006. First, check out your BIOS revision, and make sure it matches the latest FIC offering on their home page: this can be important. Also, be very careful about the fan you are using, being certain you are blowing exhaust air at 90 degrees on to the voltage regulator next to the ZIF socket on that PT2006.

Secondly, the PT2006 should come with 256kb soldered cache ram. Be extremely selective when getting a module to step up to 512kb (probably worth the performance), being careful to clean the connectors on the module carefully before inserting.

Lastly, your Floating Point experience is part of the 6x86 experience. Don't try to network Quake death match someone with a Pentium 166 and expect to win.

Hope you have an IBM CPU there, by the way, instead of a Cyrix.
