chuckj, I really don't think there are many naive shareholders, though a few persist with the idea that Qualcomm's P:E is way too high. They ignore the fact that CDMA earnings are only just getting going. Most companies that want one time licences have now got them, Ericsson being a notable holdout.

That http above quote Molly Foerster, who says royalties are single digit! So 9% or less. Proabably around 5%.

It discusses short sellers' prospects. A dime a dollar for shareholders sounds a bit odd for a company which shows zero sign of failing. It doesn't take much investor thinking to realize the one time licence fees won't be coming in constantly.
