To answer your question, yes, He was talking about material wealth ie,"multiplying silver and gold and all that you have." (Deut. 8:13-20) You are certainly right about you statement about the greatest wealth is having the Lord Himself. Boy we sure need to be careful about letting wealth or money be a substitute for God. He frowns on that if you get my meaning.
