Okay here's a heretical possibility, sell the stock, go short the stock more than enough to cover the short puts then roll the 15 puts down to some reasonable at the money level (say 10)
you won't be exercised at least. But on the other hand you would become a traitor to the cause. Re: long calls,I don't think you want to go more long which is what you'd be doing in the call buying game. Of course you could also buy leaps to balance out this short possiblility but that's getting pretty complex. The problem with rolling the puts is that one day you'll probably get the early exercise.
