I would welcome some input on the subject of "stops". If you put in a sell stop on a listed issue, does the specialist screw around with you as I've heard they do on the Naz where they might drop the bids to trigger your stop and then crank the price up at the end of the day. It would really be nice to buy a decent size position in a stock and be able to leave the computer worry-free knowing that you've set your stop and it won't be messed with by the powers that be.
