I see by your profile that you've only recently begun posting on the SI forums. Well... I'm mighty reluctant to post to a party using an assumed name, no E-mail address. The few times I've been flamed have come come this set of conditions. This isn't AOL. Most regular contributors use real names, post credible messages, and eventually establish bonds (I've met two new 'friends' for lunch). I mention this because your post was obviously reasonable, as well as rational. That said-- I can't get a handle on HD. The industry appears to be going through a shake out... Ernst is gone... Hechlinger's (sp) is in trouble. As the big dog, Home Depot should continue to do well relative to their competition. Long term, I like it. Shorter time frame, I'm clueless. Regards, Paul
