HVN, ( So, what gives? ) ... Instead of putting together a long piece about their current business , future opportunities and advantages please review the profile section on this thread if not done so yet. In short, they have a tremendous market and such that even the AT&T's of the world have taken notice. You mentioned commodity type business....... Yes, there is some of that and will continue to be. Just as there is the same for PC makers. Why does Dell defy the commodity pitfalls? I believe it's because of having a edge in their plan, execution and a expanding market. The Telephone service industry, as I am sure you agree, is an expanding market . Where is their future against the Giants .... the same as MCI or Sprint faced in the early days against Ma Bell.( the key is whether they do the same as Dell ... plan, execution and marketing in a expanding market. I feel they are doing such at present.

In addition, I would not be surprised to see them bought out in a couple of years due to their lead and advantages. That's what I see in a nut shell. Hope I answered some of your concerns or questions.
