I think AMES must have benefited from the news that S&P has added them to their 4-star recommended list, as well as the news of solid September sales numbers. The discount retailers look as though they could prove to be a relatively safe haven as the year winds down. The volume today looks like there may have been some institutional activity involved, and the stock still remains a bargain at these levels IMO. AMES could use a few more days like today, but we've had a good bounce off of what now appears to be a bottom. Have a good weekend. MT
