AML COMMUNICATIONS INC. ANNOUNCES FIRST
DELIVERIES OF 140-WATT AMPLIFIERS

CAMARILLO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 9, 1996--AML
Communications Inc. (NASDAQ:AMLJ) Monday announced it has
commenced production deliveries of its M-140 multicarrier cellular
amplifier.

On Nov. 21, 1996, the company announced that the FCC had granted
"type acceptance" to AML's M-140, thus permitting the sale of this
product. The company believes its M-140 is the highest power,
multicarrier amplifier available to the cellular industry today
. This
140-Watt amplifier enables cellular operators to broaden their system
coverage to levels typically achieved in Macrocell environments, yet the
M-140 provides the lower cost and size advantages of a Microcell
system.

Jacob Inbar, chairman and chief executive officer of AML
Communications, commented on this event said: "Both the design and
actual sale of this 140-watt unit set another AML `first' for the cellular
industry. This is an important example of our ability to identify needs and
having the technological base to capitalize on them. "Similarly, we have
several other products, designed for the PCs and Paging markets,
presently under review by the FCC, for which we expect approvals
sometime in the near future
."

AML Communications designs, manufactures and markets multicarrier
amplifiers, repeaters and related products for the cellular, PCs, Paging
and other communications markets.
