Henry D,

Seems like I've never done well buying call options.Guess my natural personality is optimistic and I jump the gun too often - Then that ugly time premium eats my lunch.Don't mean to be negative but that's my experience. On the other hand I have made some money on selling covered calls or selling naked puts.I like the naked puts best as I like to steal stocks and hold for long positions.
But more often than not I'm short of purchasing power to be able to play.

I hope to see Cohu has done their usual exceptional job of turning their receivables and inventory into a larger cash Horde during times that are tough. As I have always said management is conservative-if they're not focused on increasing sales they stay busy building the balance sheet. These guys are responsible and most important of all Great Businessmen!

Knowledge of this really enables me to be aggressive with the stock - to a fault at times. They say true confession is good for the soul.

I am really impressed with the rebound that the naz put in today - still feel like I'm skating on thin ice but it was strong all day- short of the first 30 minutes.

If cohu issued a tender on asyst they could do 50% stock and 50% cash.
This would dilute our stock but get dollar for dollar on the cash and double their sales in a normal market.

Their combined sales would almost double and in both sectors they would be niche leaders with great margins.

Asyst had a secondary offering at the very top of the semi- equip cycle and never spent their proceeds. They are now selling below book and cash value! Wouldn't you like to spend a dollar to pickup a dollar and 25 cents plus issue stock (that's already authorized)and when the semi- equip cycle returns watch your sales quadruple with the same 11-12% net margins,

Hold onto your hat we've got a tiger by the tail!!!

I get so pumped up just thinking about it.Just think in a solid great year sales over 1/2 a billion. That's the midcap world complete with an invite to the S&P 500.

Man I've got to quit going to Guadalahara's and drinking those frozen margaritas - Must Be The Salt !

Hold With Confidence !
