PV, RE:If I recall the highest PE that I saw on AMAT presplit was 50. Even if we have a PE of 50 x 0.66 we get only $33. This is sure not a very good movement which we have been accustomed to with AMAT. Does this figure seem reasonable? If we look at the world/industry economic situation and project forward into '99 then maybe this is correct. That being the case I would propose that the institutional investors would depart this sector for greener pastures further depressing stock price. Did you see my "quick analysis" of AMAT value based on breakeven earnings? Comments?? BB
