RE:If I recall the highest PE that I saw on AMAT presplit was 50. Even if we have a PE of 50 x 0.66 we get only $33. This is sure not a very good movement which we have been accustomed to with AMAT. Does this figure seem reasonable?

If we look at the world/industry economic situation and project forward into '99 then maybe this is correct. That being the case
I would propose that the institutional investors would depart this
sector for greener pastures further depressing stock price. Did you
see my "quick analysis" of AMAT value based on breakeven earnings?
