A little factoid from a study on market timing-- "But what surprised us was that a tiny portion of those brief swings accounts for practically all of a market's gains or losses over decades. For example, 95% of the market gains between 1963 and 1993 stemmed from the best 1.2% of the trading days!" 1.2% -- Would make a market quite difficult to time -- eclipsefund.com
