Robert, sorry not to respond sooner. I believe Valence's absence from the Power '98 show was summed up quite well by another poster a few days ago. They have already identified scores of potential customers, have been shipping them large volumes for testing and have already been discussing delivery schedules, pricing, terms and conditions. They simply are past the point of needing to find more potential customers. A company like ULBI, for example, has over a dozen products including primary (non rechargeable) batteries for different applications, including 9 volt smoke detector batteries and therefore several categories of customers that may attend the show.

Valence is concentrating on high volume of very few products. If three or four customers are ready to buy all they can produce and demand exceeds supply, why go looking for more customers? I believe Lev mentioned during the Aug 12 conference call that it is more a matter of convincing the large OEM's that they can produce sufficient quantities. By the way, I was also disappointed that we were so close yet failed to break $5 this week. We have been waiting for a very long time. I remain convinced that we are close to developments that will make it more than worthwhile.
