Barb,

I read somewhere (long ago) that one method to raise the price of a stock is for the MM to trade among themselves.

HRZG buys from FAHN, and the price goes up. later FAHN buys from HRTZ, and so on. At the end of the day, the net inventory held by the MM(s) are substantially the same, but the price of the stock has risen. I could be wrong, but I read about these types of situations a lot on penny stock threads.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong.
