I can't even realistically fathom what society was like in 1929, and much as they want you to believe it, neither can the doomsayers.
Of course you are all wet, and arguing with Skeet really serves no useful purpose, sort of like this thread over the last half year.
My parents were around in '29, and while they may have only been 2 years old, they have imparted quite a few stories of the times. As did my Grand and Great Grandparents, who all lived to near 100, God rest their souls. There is some direct memory of the times still around, and a lot of first hand passed down memory.
Better keep counting those beans, 'cause it looks like you are doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past. -g-
