Sue,

I agree that when the market rebounds, these stocks will probably go the opposite way.

But where else could you have done so well during this correction, and isn't this a good lesson for corrections to come, assuming that they happen when interest rates are low and oil prices are low.

The reason the utilities did so well, among other things previously stated, was the dividends which have a yield at least as good as the long bond.
