I think that cutting back helps a temporary placement/employment company. It has been my experience that when a company goes through huge cutbacks, they overdo it. They get rid of too many people, moral goes down, jobs don't get done. The company can't hire new employees but they can get consultants/temporary help. The company employs "temporary help" which turns out to be much longer than originally planned for. Especially if the project is under pressure. After a while, the company realizes that they need to hire more permanent employees, they re-work the budget and then placements pick up. This is a win-win situation for us.

Also, as for this Year 2000 project - Alot of projects are being put off now until after 2000. At that time, all these delayed projects will be started and the need for consultants and techies will continue.
