Some of the things going on with women, post abortion, is incredible. This is one area that I think is neglected by the pro-abortion groups...what happens after the mother chooses abortion. There's one lady that we're counseling had an abortion 20 years ago. She still suffers from "post traumatic stress syndrome" each year on the anniversary of the abortion. Some weeks we have 20-30 women show up! Most say that they might have considered an alternative, had they been aware of any, ie someone would help them financially through the pregnancy or adoption. This is where we wish we could get a change in the "prochoice" description....allowing all women to know about the other choices available before abortion. If, then, the woman chooses abortion, then so be it! We recognize that abortion is here to stay but there are things that need to be considered on behalf of the mother, both before and after abortion.
