Press Release Third flood monitoring system shipped to Malaysia Unitec International Controls Corp UIC Shares issued 21,209,129 Oct 9 close $0.17 Fri 9 Oct 98 News Release Mr. John Smyth reports Unitec has shipped its third flood forecasting and warning SCADA system for JPSS, the Malaysian State of Selangor Drainage Authority. This contract received in May 1998 and valued in the low six figures, forms a critical part of the Malaysian flood protection program for the upcoming monsoon season. Unitec has other similar systems in operation in Malaysia and Indonesia and has outstanding bids for three additional flood monitoring systems with a total value of $1.4-million in those countries. These projects, financed by international financial institutions, including World Bank, Asia Development Bank and OECF (Japan), are quoted and payable in U.S. funds.
