Thanka David, Your advice is well taken for an USA investor. But in Switzerland, at least in the part of it I am living in, there is NO capital gains tax (and no inheritance tax eiter). So naturally you could not compensate losses for gains. But I like our system better, especially in years like this, where you should have great capital gains. (and I have them) For me the only thing to worry about is iweather the stock haS HIT BOTTOM OR COULD GO EVEN LOWER. aPPARENTLY YOU PROBABELY WOULD RATHER SELL THAN HOLD OUT FOR ANY HOPE.
