Bill, *OT* lets assume I went on an expedition to the south pole from November 1997. Now I am back. I look at my mutual fund statements and see that I am relatively OK <gggg> no major gains or losses. Can you explain it to me why the hefty tax liability?? I just do not understand!!! Anything happened during my 11 months absence?? Why all this commotion in the markets?? So, the yen appreciated somewhat from the low 120, so what?? Haim
