As Prechter, et. al. have discovered manias or bubbles are near impossible to predict when complete. Prechter did forecast the current bull market in the early 1980's. He just never believed it would go to 1998. He's on record for the July 20, 1998 high. But yes, he has been wrong, like all others, many times.
