See Warren Buffet about it. Berkeshire Hathaway may support the plan.

I have heard there is worldwide shortage of physical supply because the major contributor is lead zinc mining and this has fallen into disrepute and will not likely be revived for a while. One of the largest silver producers in the world used to be the Kidd Creek Mine in Timmins which produce about 10 million ounces a year at one time. I don't know what their production is now. Hecla too has fallen on hard times..once a major contributor. Mining regions such as Mexico, Argentina barely produce anymore. "La mina de plata esta morta, senor"

Maybe the white metal will shine again. But the paper silver of Nooh Yahk will creat imaginary silver mountains to climb before the chest is seen bare. With all the paper metal changing hands you hardly need a real metal industry to corner the market. One could start a di-lithium exchange and trade in martian crystal futures and leave them on that planet until some one really wants delivery bad enough to build a spaceship.
