David...I'd like to point out....
some comments made by nihil on the DELL thread re: Armstrong's paper and the world financial markets.

(I'm doing this to help provide intellectual balance to what could turn into extremely emotional and biased reactions.)

My first reaction to Armstrong's paper was stunning amazement; can it be, how bad could it get, can I figure out a way to survive or even profit rather than be destroyed by this situation. Because nihil is well founded in economic theories and management, along with the wisdom of experience, I asked for his opinion on the paper; please see his response at this link.

On the one hand, I'm afraid there could be a meltdown as Armstrong alludes to; on the other hand I hope that those people that are partly responsible for our economic well being (Rubin/Greenspan) are aware of these issues... and have been discretely addressing them in a way that ameliorates and/or eliminates wholesale US & worldwide panic.

I'm a pragmatic DELL bull, that's turned bearish... but hopefully it's only temporary.
