Wolfdog2, I went back to reread the ACB story and found that the link that I had provided didn't work for me. Try:

abcnews.com

Use the search : pharmos

Like the story said, very hard to compare dexanabinol and "brain freeze" because of the small study size of both trials. Lowering the brain temp sounds logical to me. We have all heard stories about a kid going through the ice, being fished out of the lake and revived an hour latter with no neurological damage, where in a normal situation brain death would have happened shortly after the oxygen supply was terminated It would be interesting to see what the results would be if both techniques were used together. Of course, I have no idea what effect the lowered temperature and body metabolism would have with the dexanabinol.
