Rocky -
This past Tuesday, October 6th, you posted that if Sony made a digital camera with a HiFD drive you would buy it. Here are your exact words:
>>If/when Sony comes out with their 200MB HiFi Mavica Digital Camera - I'm there. That is a product that can potentially blow the doors off the digital camera market. The Mavica is already the best selling digital camera, I believe. With 200MB HiFi discs costing about $10 apiece combined with the Sony brand name and marketing muscle, that product would be just about impossible to beat.<<
Then, yesterday, you posted the following about the Iomega flash card reader/Clik! drive combo.
>>This also ignores the fact that your data is at risk from the moment you try and transfer it from the Flash Card into a flimsy, power hungry device that uses an unsealed mechanical disc prone to dust, dirt, smoke, sand, and any number of particulates that can contaminate the disc virtually at will.<<
Let me ask you a few questions. Is HiFD not mechanical? Are the disks sealed? Will HiFD drives, even though they spin at a higher speed, consume less power than the much smaller Clik! drives?
Are we supposed to take you seriously?
