re getting more shares by selling at 68 and buying back at 41 or 42

Well what upsets me is that I sold a mutual fund I had held for years (big tax consequences next April) in August in order to buy DELL during the October crash I was expecting.
But I couldnt stay out and got in high, as you know got out low and got back in high again!!! less shares and higher margin resulted. My problem is, and I hope I'm over it now: I havent been able to "wait" when I have cash, (or no margin.)
I better be over it, I cant keep doing this, I'll have a margin so big the first crash will cream me.
