QUESTION OF THE DAY:

Here's a good one. I spent part of last week helping a friend lay down a cement floor in a basement. Part of the action was carrying 40 lb cement bags and then mixing the concrete. Not only was this good therapy (for me), but it was also great exercise: upper, lower torso, stretching, etc.

Now the question: How come high-powered executive types go and spend thousands of dollars on health club memberships in order to get exercise, when all they have to do is volunteer to help lay down cement at the respective municipal and town park and recreation departments? Or, alternatively, they could get paid instead of paying out. I mean where and what is the bottom line here?

Happy Octoberfest Sunday to all!
