'm in Almería tonight. Had a series of pitch...
2 days ago, I lost my amarillo VISA-card - probably on a gasstation where my AUDI (hello, Steve!) got something to drink. Stupid as I am I didn't check the loss - finally the next morning, when I tried to pay my hotel-bill. So a possible thieft had nearly one day for shopping on me. And I lost the one and only photo where I look like 40-something.
Today, our AUDI wouldn't start again - middle in the "pampa". Kristin with elegant shoes and a long dress pushed us back to life. Back in Almería, it was a hard work to find a taxi - allover here in Andaluzía they have fiesta till tomorrow, and nobody - in other words no body - seems to work.
Of course, also the Audi-concessionario here will not work tomorrow - our taxi-driver bets on this - so that we must stay here at least for a few days; WHY NOT? It's a good place. Our driver showed us 4 bares irlandesas, where we can get una pinta de Guinness for 500 pts - mas ò menos. The sun is shining, and our hotelroom is that well situated that an average "moto" comes maximum up to 90 dBA.
What bothers is that all hotels in Almería were build in the late sixties, when all world was moving up to here for making western-movies (Django and so on...). It was a boom, a second Holywood was born - for a few years... Today, this has charme, but the phone-equipement in these hotels is quite oldfashioned - like mostly in Paris. However, I forced my modem down to 19200 and now it works like women - "langsam aber gewaltig" (late but powerful).
Hope you all have a fine weekend too?
