Like most experienced investors, I am always suspicious of hype*. Hype is not new, it has always existed - it's just that the Internet has made it easy and cheap and very very prevalent. At times I think that the quality of an investment is inversely proportionate to the number of posts on its SI thread. Here's the biggest position I hold right now #Subject-20429 - a larger position than I have ever held in any stock. Count the posts - 6 - half of them mine -g- ...... Line that up against the Desert Dirt and bulletin board promotions ... rmil alone has one of the highest post counts on SI.

If somebody comes over and 'bashes' Suncor on its thread, I really don't care - they will just look like an idiot unless they have some facts, and if they have good facts and insightful critical analysis I would like very much to hear it. And the day Suncor fails to file audited financials, I dump it. There is no acceptable excuse for that, imho. ...... really gotta go now ...... salud y pesetas .... marcos

* - my point here being that 'The Bashers' (as the hypesters call them) like jhild are providing critical analysis in direct response to the use of these threads to promote worthless (or at least grossly overvalued) paper, imho.
