The VSE has accepted for filing an agreement dated May 19, 1998 between Texstar Petroleum, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, and Southern Gas Co. of Delaware Inc. (Southern Gas) whereby Texstar will acquire additional working interests in three oil and gas prospects in Mississippi, U.S.A. The additional interests include a 7.125 per cent working interest in the Oakvale Dome prospect, a 14 per cent working interest in the Wausau prospect, and a 3.33 per cent working interest in the Moselle prospect. In consideration, Texstar will pay Southern Gas $1,250,000 (U.S.) in cash, and assign its 5.5 per cent working interest in the White Castle Dome prospect to Southern Gas.
