Look for the best (MDT,SDK,VRTS,NTAP, GTE,ELNK, SAPE..etc) from the Earnings Plays Newsletter and the worst of the worst* (Fin/loans LEH,FP,ACF,COF,CMT,LBFC,FAF etc)..CLEC's, Banks..Brokerages from the Daily Watch Lists. We had a wonderful late turnaround Thursday afternoon picking up stocks that gapped up on Friday morning as well.. and a follow through Friday in banking, brokerages and the 'better' tech stocks like NTAP, CPWR. Don't be satisified with a 40 buck stock up 2 points..Keep an eye on CPQ and computer sector there might be softness there.

Best of the best will make for better short term/position trades while the worst will give you 15% or more intraday (AMMB,NFCB,ITWO). Check the watch lists a few days back for the 5-17 dollar stocks..

Today's watch lists have lots of 'severely beaten stocks' that are reporting earnings this week. That is very important because they will probably 'pop' again in anticipation of a 'better' than expected report or meeting 'revised downward' expectations. A good deal of them were unjustly beaten...

*worst of the worst means just 'severely beaten down fundamentally sound stocks'.. not JUNK STOCKS.. or BB stocks.
