Mike: Are you allowed to buy puts in IRA account if you do not own the underlying ? or only if you own the underlying ? I have asked my broker this in the past and I believe he only allowed covered calls and protective puts in my IRA... thanks Given the implosion of most of the financial stocks, what do you figure is next up on the food chain ?
