Re: y2k buying blips i remember an analysts that appeared on CNBC that thought businesses would be spending their entire technology budget on software fixes for y2k; leaving nothing for hardware. we have no history or experience with this issue so i don't think anyone knows avoiding a recession in the USA and decisive action to end the banking crisis in Japan are more important to the tech recovery, IMO
