Nothing seems to effect Amazongonenutty.com except the level of awareness of the internet stocks: Yahoo! acquired Yoyodyne, a direct marketer and promoter for on-line sales, and Amazon moves up on the news. This is a threat to Amazon but speculators are loading up on the stock just because the news helps to move the Internet sector up in public awarness for a while. The net effect (pun intended) is that Amazon's competition is increasing rapidly on all fronts.
