I guess when the market is up and people are looking for a good speculative play they look at ALYD. Yes, when a stock has as many shorts as ALYD it can trigger a domino effect as they all start to cover. But keep in mind that as soon as the buying-on-no-news momentum stops they will come back. Let's hope that this is sign that people really do think the 10/15 post-Y2K strategy announcement will attract some new buyers, and thus the momentum will continue tripping even more shorts. That and the anticipation that, unlike other "Y2K" companies, ALYD will actually announce a profit-- and a profit that's actually better than the previous quarter.
