Donald,

Question regarding new Highs and new Lows: The market has been trending down since mid-July. The lower it gets, the fewer stocks are at or near highs. So when a 'bottom' is reached, the HI-LO indicator may not be a valid indicator, particularly if the overall decline has been significant.... which I think it safe to say we've seen. At the point where one begins to see a significant number of new highs, the bottom will have been reached and the rebound will already be well under way. Perhaps a more important variable after a large sell-off would be a decline in the number of new lows. Your thoughts?

thanks, jbn3.
