Rajala & Dave,

"Speak softly and carry a big stick; you will go far" is an African proverb that Teddy Roosevelt frequently quoted that dealt with the method of diplomatic conflict resolution. Your intent to inflame the situation on this thread does not go unnoticed.

Rajala, you ask "Who else listened to the call, were these things specifically discussed?" Then you ask "How come every time Dr. J talks in some vague and round way about the W-CDMA IPRs everyone on this thread gets ecstatic?" I am confused - you did listen to the call, didn't you? He suggested that ETSI can do whatever they feel is in the best interest of Europe.

Then you would agree that Dr Jacobs handled the call professionally and diplomatically. He reiterated and explained the three fairness principles. Do you both disagree with these principles, and if so, why? If you agree, then why waste this thread's time?

Back to the business. What does this mean?

Just curious,
Greg
