Learning from history.
All countries spend a lot of money for "saving monuments of historical evidence". Most of us love sceneries of charming environments remembering on "good old times". Better hotelrooms are decorated like they were oldfashioned, and some Americans love the German term "Gemütlichkeit".
What did we learn? Millions of tourists walk through Granadas "Alhambra" or Sevillas "Alcázar", relax in these peaceful gardens, admire the fantastic decorations.
Then the go back home and build (as owner, architect or designer) "modern" "space" - for living, shopping, preaching, whatsoever.
When we wald along the streets and see ruins, wracks of proud buildings, it's mostly not old substance, it's - relative - new "construction-material", left from everybody, not used, not loved, delivered to the forces of destruction.
Often these buildings are younger than on of us, Dudes.
They stand - stoud - between good looking houses, walls, constructions of eras long before the red man has been forced to give up his land.
Wouldn't it be a great motivation to do things - again, in a longterm understanding of manhood - things that will survive: at least for a few generations, at least for a while we could be proud on?
