Michael,..Re: Louis Rukeyser's comments

Thanks for the article.

Re: Media - and hysteria-prone television anchors Can we say CNBC?

Re: Pundits - or that their coverage has been similarly
doomy during most of the past 16 historic years, during which time,
while they were repeatedly shocking ordinary people away from sound
equity investing, stocks have gone up by 1,000%.

Re: Deflation - Worldwide commodity deflation is undeniably tough on producers, whether in South African gold fields or Iowa corn fields, but falling prices and rising quality in the technology industry are likely to prove overwhelmingly positive for the world's future.

In the past 10 years, haven't we always been able to wait a year or less and get that fastest, latest technology cheaper.? Do we need PCs in the future as the net grows and information becomes more valuable?

All the above is what Mohan has been saying all along. The consumer is key and the fact that our unemployment rate is and remains at historic lows speaks more loudly than any media pundits. The media only write to sell copy and exaggerated headlines sell more copy. And buying low is still in vogue. (Unless you believe like LT that the whole planet is going back to live in caves and lug around gold bars to pay for meat) <VBG>

Regards,

Lee
