For the classic chip-vending machine 'stock' story, check out the early history of Harvard Scientific #Subject-10757 - back in '86 or '89 or thereabouts, this was consecutively a hot stock and a horror story around the VSE. It was traded on Nasdaq as well at the time, it had a truly incredible 52-week range, ending at the bottom, of course.
