Company Press Release

American General Ventures Reports Third Quarter
Results

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 12, 1998-- American General Ventures, Inc. (OTC BB:AMGV -
news) reported at its annual shareholders meeting that its third quarter revenues of more than $420,000 were up nearly 400 percent
from its second quarter 1998.

The Company also reported that the third quarter 1998 revenues were up nearly 450 percent from its third quarter 1997. The
increase in revenues was due to the Company selling its affordable branded pre-configured and build to order (BTO) computers
through Wal-Mart Online and its newly developed web site (www.availpc.com) that is advertised through Hotmail, the world's
largest free e-mail provider.

Avail is the name of the Company's principal line of high-quality, low-priced, home and small business computer systems. The
Company expects that its relationship with Hotmail and other web browsers will result in continued revenue increases. Having its
presence on Hotmail and additional web browsers complements the Company's current distribution of its product online through its
web site and Wal-Mart Online.

The Company has been a vendor for Wal-Mart for three years and has been online with them for more than a year. Wal-Mart
Online recently offered the Company's BTO computer that now accounts for about 70 percent of the Company's sales through
Wal-Mart's web site.

Company offers five pre-configured computers ranging from an MII-300 system, including monitor, for $699.00 to a 233MMX
notebook with active matrix screen for less than $1,600. This web site generates approximately 60 percent of total Company
revenues.
